MILESTONES
1985 - Establishment of Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH. With 2 employees and the latest technology "underwater plasma cutting"
the company's history begins.
1987 - purchase of the first CO2 laser.
1988 - Relocation to the new building with a production area of 2,300 m2 in the Voralb industrial park with 10 employees in December.
1989 - Official inauguration of the new company building on June 3rd and 4th and purchase of the first YAG laser.
1991 - Establishment of Edelstahl-Laser-Technik GmbH with 10 employees on a production area of 950 m².
Expansion of the company building of Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH in August with now 25 employees to 2,860 m²
Production area and 2,000 m² storage area.
1992 - Foundation of LEFA Fleischerausstattungen GmbH with 2 employees. Worldwide patent "Smoking with liquid smoke".
1996 - New construction of the office and production building for Edelstahl-Laser-Technik GmbH
with now 40 employees and 4,200 m² of production area.
1998 - / New construction of the office and production building for Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH
1999 - Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH with 46 employees and 5,400 m2 production area.
2000 - Official inauguration of the new building with in-house exhibition.
2006 - Establishment of the LEFA SK plant in Liptovský Hrádok, Slovakia, with 15 employees and 1,700 m² of production space in April.
In November: New construction of a production building for Edelstahl-Laser-Technik GmbH with 100 employees and one
Production area of 9,200 m².
2008 - New construction of a warehouse at Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH with 375 m² of storage space in December.
2010 - Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH celebrates its 25th anniversary. In the entire group of companies are 220 employees.
2011 - In November: New construction of a production building for Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH with 80 employees and
a production area of now 7,600 m².
2013 - New construction of a production building for Edelstahl-Laser-Technik GmbH. With an area expansion of
3,900 m² on a total area of 13,100 m².
2016 - New construction of a production building for Edelstahl-Mechanik GmbH. With an area expansion of
4,800 m² on a total production area of 12,400 m².
